WORLD FREESTYLE 2026
The biggest freestyle skateboarding competition in the world is just around the corner: World Freestyle 2026!
This year’s edition will take place in the city of Kassel, located in western Germany, and everything points toward another unforgettable event for the global freestyle community.
Based on the information and previews released so far, the venue looks truly spectacular. The competition will be held inside a large indoor arena with thousands of seats available for spectators, providing a stage worthy of a World Championship.
Registration has already closed, and organizers are expecting around 100 or even more freestyle skateboarders from all over the world to attend. As always, World Freestyle will bring together the very best riders alongside rising talents, making it one of the most exciting events of the year.
This edition will also introduce several important changes to the competition structure. For the first time, the Women’s division will be split into Professional and Amateur categories, reflecting the continued growth of female participation in freestyle skateboarding.
At the same time, the Rookies division has been removed, while the Kids division remains part of the event, continuing to provide a platform for the next generation of freestyle skateboarders.
We also expect to see several new freestyle legends inducted into the Hall of Fame, alongside the presentation of a number of Community Awards during the awards ceremony. These moments have become an important tradition of World Freestyle, celebrating not only competitive achievements but also the people who help our community grow year after year.
If you haven’t already booked a hotel or Airbnb, there is also the possibility of camping very close to the event at Kassel Camping- und Wohnmobilplatz, offering an affordable and convenient accommodation option for visitors.
Beyond the skateboarding competition itself, World Freestyle will once again host a variety of additional activities and attractions. This makes the event a great destination not only for skaters but also for families and children who want to enjoy a full weekend experience beyond the contest floor.
