The Kona Classic is back for the second year in a row, and we’re stoked to bring this freestyle skateboarding contest back to one of the most iconic places in skate history.
Presented by Philly Freestyle and Kona Skate Park, the event goes down on March 7, 2026, at legendary Kona Skatepark in Jacksonville, Florida. The contest will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, so make sure to save the date.
Kona Skatepark isn’t just any skatepark, it’s the oldest skatepark in the world, originally opened in 1977, and it remains a true landmark for skateboarding culture. Hosting a freestyle contest here is all about celebrating the roots of skateboarding while keeping the tradition alive.
The contest will feature multiple categories, including:
There will be a prize pool of up to $1,500, along with a full day dedicated to freestyle skating, community, music, awards, and good vibes, exactly what the Kona Classic is about.
Whether you’re competing or just coming to watch, this event is a celebration of freestyle skateboarding, history, and community, set in one of the most legendary skateparks ever built.
See you at Kona.
