Wai Wai Freestyle Contest

The Wai Wai Freestyle Contest in Japan is coming back in 2026! It will take place at the same location as in 2024, in the city of Hamamatsu, at Sun Street Hamakita Mall, on May 2nd. Most likely, the arena will be the same, meaning it will be open-air with no roof in case of rain. The surface will certainly be one of the wooden ones, already well known among Japanese riders.
The contest will start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM.
There will be three categories: professionals, amateurs, and rookies.
We would also like to mention that this contest in Japan is very likely to be the only one in 2026, as the official JFSA announcement (https://jfsa.biz/news/jfsa2026.html) clearly indicates a break from organizing their own events. Therefore, this contest, organized by the M80 skate shop, is very important for maintaining the continuity of Japanese skate competitions.
