SUMMARY:The 2026 U.S. Open of Freestyle Skateboarding
DESCRIPTION:The Venice Beach department of Recreation and Parks in coordination with the USA Freestyle Skateboarding Association presents the U.S. Open of Freestyle Skateboarding! Join the best freestyle skateboarders in the world for a Pro/Am freestyle showdown at the iconic Venice Beach Roller Dance Plaza!\n  \nWhere is it?\nThe Venice Beach Roller Dance Plaza \n1800 Ocean Front Walk\, Venice\, CA 90291 \nWhen is it?\nPro/Am Open: June 13th\, 9am – 6pm \nRookies: June 14th\, 10am – 1pm \nRegistration\nRegistration is limited to 40 skaters. The fee for early registration is $30usd. Online pre-registration ends on May 30th\, 2025. The fee for in-person registration is $40 usd. \nRegister Here\nDivisions\nThe Pro-Am open division will take place on June 13th\, 2026 between 9am And 6pm The Rookies Division will take place on June 14th\, 2026 between 10am and 1pm. The Rookies competition is intended to be a mellow introduction to freestyle skateboarding and our vibrant community. \nFormat\nEach rider will have two 90-second runs. The highest score will be counted. In the event of a tie\, the lower scores will be used as a tie breaker. \nThe Rookies division will include two 60-second runs. \nSurface Size\nThe competition surface measures approx. 80′ x 30′. The surface is kidney shaped with smooth concrete and minimal cracks. \nEntry Fee\nThe pre-registration entry fee for the U.S. Open of Freestyle is $30. This grants competitors access to the competition surface for the day and a goodie bag. \nPrizes\nFor the First Annual U.S. Open\, prizes will include cash\, skateboard decks\, wheels\, trucks\, stickers\, bearings\, and trophies \nMedia\nCompetition routines for the 2026 U.S. Open of Freestyle Skateboarding will be available on YouTube via the Footwork Skate Productions YouTube Channel. \nParking\nWe recommend parking at 2100 Ocean Front Walk\, Venice\, CA 90291.
