SUMMARY:Enjoy The Ride - Freestyle Contest
DESCRIPTION:Hello everyone!Marius here\, and I’m beyond excited to invite you to the first 2026 freestyle skate contest in Romania! \nThe event will take place on April 18–19\, in Insula Mureș\, a village near Arad\, hosted in a private yard that will be fully prepared so you can feel comfortable\, relaxed\, and focused on skating. \nFor the competition\, we’ll build a dedicated freestyle platform made of plywood with proper grip\, measuring 15 meters long and 6.5 meters wide\, designed specifically to offer a smooth and consistent riding surface. \nWhen it comes to accommodation\, we’ve got you covered. Free stay is available\, depending on availability in:  the main house\, a hobbit-style house\, a tree house or the camping area if you prefer bringing a tent\, but we are also in the talks for a house nearby and another one at 25 minutes away so that everyone will stay for free! \nTo keep things simple\, the freestyle contest will have two categories only: Pro ( 2 minute run) and Amateur ( 1.5 minute run ).Even though this is a smaller\, intimate event\, there will be a strong focus on cash prizes for the top 5 Pro riders\,  cash only\, no gear. \nFor the Amateur category\, prizes will consist of skate gear\, awarded from 1st to 5th place\, or even up to 7th place\, depending on our sponsors. \nImportant note\, since the contest is outside\, in case of rain\, we will move it on Sunday. \nWe will have LIVE Streaming at the event on Twitch with multiple camera angles provided by Kay Barabas\, the same person that did the WorldFreestyle and Open Belgium. \nFor now\, we won’t reveal the Pro prize money\, but we promise to announce it soon\,  along with more surprises along the way.Judges will also be compensated\, receiving €50 each. \nAll riders will receive a free warm meal on Saturday and Sunday! \nThe contest will be photographed and filmed by a dedicated crew as well. \nTravel-wise: \n\nIf you’re flying\, we recommend Timișoara Airport ( from here we can help arrange pickup)\, Bucharest airport ( but it’s far away)\, Cluj-Napoca airport ( 4 hours away ) and Budapest airport as well since it’s around 3 hours away.\nIf you’re coming from elsewhere in Europe\, traveling by car is very doable\,  Arad is located in western Romania  and is easy to reach.\n\nOne more thing worth mentioning:On Sunday\, we’ll also host a small mini ramp contest\, so if you’d like to join that as well\, you’re more than welcome to sign up. \nThe freestyle contest entry fee is just €10\, and all the money collected will go straight back to the skaters\, in the form of cash prizes and gear. \nMore details coming very soon.Stay tuned and get ready for something special!

SUMMARY:Wai Wai Freestyle Contest
DESCRIPTION:The Wai Wai Freestyle Contest in Japan is coming back in 2026! It will take place at the same location as in 2024\, in the city of Hamamatsu\, at Sun Street Hamakita Mall\, on May 2nd. Most likely\, the arena will be the same\, meaning it will be open-air with no roof in case of rain. The surface will certainly be one of the wooden ones\, already well known among Japanese riders. \nThe contest will start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM. \nThere will be three categories: professionals\, amateurs\, and rookies. \nWe would also like to mention that this contest in Japan is very likely to be the only one in 2026\, as the official JFSA announcement (https://jfsa.biz/news/jfsa2026.html) clearly indicates a break from organizing their own events. Therefore\, this contest\, organized by the M80 skate shop\, is very important for maintaining the continuity of Japanese skate competitions.

SUMMARY:Italian Freestyle Open 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Italian Freestyle Open is going down on May 30\, 2026\, in Nettuno\, Italy\, at the local Nettuno Skatepark (Via Firenze 51\, RM). Please make sure to arrive by 11:00 a.m. so we can keep everything running smoothly. \nThe contest will take place on a dedicated freestyle area measuring 17 x 8.4 meters\, with a smooth surface that offers good grip\, perfect for technical freestyle lines. Each skater will have two runs\, with 110 seconds per run\, and the clock starts the moment you begin skating.
