SUMMARY:Bucharest Skate Open 2026
DESCRIPTION:Bucharest Skate Open is back in 2026! This year\, the event will be part of a much bigger celebration\, the Urban Arts Festival\, taking place in IOR Park\, Bucharest\, organized by Sector 3 City Hall. \nThe festival will bring together several urban cultures and disciplines: \n● Street Dance & Breaking\n● K-Pop Dance Cover\n● Skateboarding — Street & Freestyle\n● Kendama\n● 1 vs. 1 — Graffiti Battle \n Freestyle Skateboarding\nUnlike the Street competition\, the Freestyle contest will take place on Saturday only\, as a one-day competition. \nAnd while this might be a smaller contest compared to some of the bigger events on the calendar\, that definitely doesn’t mean small prizes! \nFor the Pro Division: \n 1st — €500\n2nd — €300\n3rd — €200 \nAll the skate gear prizes will go to the Amateur Division\, with prizes for 1st through 5th or even 10th place\, depending on the amount of gear available. \nThere will be just two divisions: Pro and Amateur\, and each routine will be 1 minute 30 seconds long. \n No entry fee!\nThat’s right\, participation is completely free\, and I’m sure that’s something everyone will appreciate. \n Want to register? You can sign up for free here:\nhttps://urbanarts.ro/skate \n📍 The Spot\nThe competition will take place at IOR Skatepark\, on a smooth but grippy concrete surface measuring approximately 12 × 8 meters. \nThis skatepark also has a bit of history for us. The very first freestyle skateboarding contest in Romanian history was held here in 2023\, as part of Bucharest Skate Open. \nSo\, it looks like this contest is slowly becoming a tradition. \nSee you all in Bucharest!
